Hi, everyone,
I am trying to simulate spray atomization for my injector. Actually this injector is a combination of two concentric orifices. One central circular small orifice for air jet and a annular circular orifice surrounding the smaller orifice. This annular orifice injects swirling water (axi-symmetry swirl) . Both fluid are are subjected to different injection pressures and are operated at different flow conditions. This spray which is mixture of water and air comes out of injector in atmospheric back pressure. I am trying with VOF, Discrete Phase Model, K-epsilon turbulence model. Can anyone tell me that while doing 2-d simulation in Fluent is it necessary to mention tangential component of velocity for water while conducting this type of axi-symmetric swirling sprays or Fluent does not compute this tangential component of velocity in 2-d case? Please suggest something as I am having trouble with my current spray modeling and any other suggestion, discussion will be appreciated. Thanks everyone. |
