I have written a UDF for heat transfer coefficient which changes as a function of the surface temperature. Its a natural convection problem. Any1 here who has done this before?

I can post the UDF if any1 is familiar with this.

Thanks and Regards, Shankar.

Hi Shankar

I've pretty new to UDF writing so i've been searching to see if i could find any examples of this UDF, as I need the exact same for my Fluent testing.

I see you posted this in 2004 but I wonder is there any chance you still have this UDF?

Or has anyone else got anything similar? My problem is working out a way to vary the heat transfer coefficient with temperature after each time step, ie having the udf figure out what the surface temperature is and then calculating h for that temperature for each time step before moving on to calculate the next surface temperature (I assume by applying Grashof -> Nusselt -> h calculations in each step of the UDF)
