Hi guys,
I had this problem with compiling following UDF coming from a famous tutorial coming from CFDninja (about dynamic mesh technics). Could anyone help me with understanding the motivation of this problem? I ran fluent as standalone mode (out of workbench), 2d mode, double precision and SERIAL as per tutorial instructions. Check images attached. 1.PNG 2.jpg 3.PNG 4.jpg Thanks in advance, ELia |

you should recompile UDF using your fluent version.
What version are you using? If it is higher than 19.0, than fluent is running on parallel regime by default (you put single core, but still it will be parallel with 1 host node and 1 computational node) best regards |

Hi Alexander,
I probably fixed the problem. I installed visual studio and now it works.. About mpi, you are right, even I selected serial, when fluent starts, it displays it changes to parallel. Probably it needed some stuff to get compiled the libudf... I still don't know what, cause I'm a beginner, but I'll get in deep with this as soon as possible. Thanks a lot for the fast reply. Bye, Elia |
