Dear cfd-online community,

For a simulation I'm trying to do, I made a UDF that utilizes two UDS's. The code runs perfectly fine, but the problem is that fluent only writes the solution of one of the UDS's (I can't see uds-1 in CFD-post). I am 100% sure that I allocated space for two UDS's (uds-0 and uds-1) and that both of them are present since they have an inlet (in fact, they both have the same inlet and are introduced to the system in an equal amount). I am also 100% sure that uds-1 is actually present during simulation, since I can make my UDF printf the values during the iterations.

Does anyone know why uds-1 doesn't get written to the results?

Just as an update to whomever finds this thread for the same issue. I didn't find the answer yet, but I have a work-around. In Fluent 18.1 if you go to File -> Export -> Solution Data..., you can write a "custom" solution file where you can choose which variables you want to write. I just choose CFD post compatible, write the file and then open a separate CFD-post where I load this file.

It's less convenient than the automatic functionality from fluent (which I still believe should also be able to do this, I just don't know how), but it works. Additionally you can also write other formats like ASCII or tecplot.
