I'm simulating parabolic trough collector with non-uniform heat flux at the outer surface of the absorber tube. for which Monte Carlo ray distribution is required through UDF.
Reference Papers: 1)Three-dimensional numerical study of heat transfer characteristics in the receiver. 2) Heat transfer analysis and numerical simulation of a parabolic trough solar collector Anyone can help me in programming monte carlo distribution UDF for parabolic trough collector? Regards, H.H |

What equation describes your non-uniform heat flux? Specifically, you'll need to have your heat flux as a function of position (x, y and z coordinates). Have a read of the DEFINE_PROFILE macro in the UDF manual.

yeah I know little abt udf and I hav applied hagen poiseuille equation through UDf for parabolic velocity profile. I hav tried udf for monte carlo but I'm not sure enough abt its results.

ls.I used polynomial function regression and converted it into linear regression models. need to discuss it in detail, if possible skype chat will be preferable so that ii can share my screen as well.
