Hey buddies,
quick question (hoping someone already fell into my issue):

I am working with the last release of Fluent, 16.2.
my environment is windows 7 (x64).
which compiler do I have to use? which Visual Studio i mean. Do i need even a SDK tool?
i have tried with Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition and .NET Framework 2.0 Software Development Kit (SKD) for 64bit but nothing: I think it built the library but when I click on Load, I am facing Error Object F#, which I don't know what it means.
I've tried with Visual Studio C++ 2010, 2013 FOLLOWING many istructions I found in CFD-online shared by people who got my same problem.

I am now at the conclusion that perhaps my release needs different approach!!

I am new to UDF. I hope I've been clear!

PLEASE ANYONE COULD HELP ME?

G

Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2013 for Desktop works with ANSYS Fluent 16.2. Older versions of Visual Studio should also work (backwards compatibility).

Hi I'm using window sdk for window 8 and visual studio 2012 for fluent ansys. In order to open fluent , i will need to input some command in the window sdk to get window 64 bits release version. Do you know of the code?

But when i want to compile the file it will show ' The UDF library you are trying to load (libudf) is not compiled for parallel use on the current platform (win64).
The system cannot find the file specified.' this error message. What should I do ??? Im using fluent 15.0

Hi Far,

I think i would need some command code to be keyed in to the developer command prompt to open fluent right? Cannot just open directly ??
