Hello people.
I need assistance and your suggestions. I have been trying to simulate a cantilever beam inside a fluid domain. My code seems to be working but failing at a paticular point due to negative volume. I observed this and found out that the cell skewness rises upto 1 and this is the point where simulation is failing. I have tried to:
1. decrease timesteps (i use time steps 0f 0.0001 1/100 of the frequency time period)
2. create fine mesh near the beam. I use remeshing and smoothing..

Can anyone help me write a code

Hi,

1. Decreasing your time step does not alleviate the problem 100%.
2. Remesh your volume and make sure there is no skewness. Structured mesh should work.
3. In your dynamic mesh zones do not specify any deforming zones. Specify only the zones that move. Fluent specifies deforming zones automatically and you will face errors if you do it too.
4. Check your mesh methods settings.

For reference you can check the ANSYS Fluent 2D box falling in water tutorial.
