Hello
I am having this problem with ansys fluent 15.07. when I tried to read a case and data which was built and run in fluent 14. the following error happened. Reading "C:\kamyab\from new 32 cpu check\bestfit1-118-754580.dat"... 2 user-defined node memory locations, 252178 nodes, binary. I have tried these UDFs on fluent 14 and fluent 15.07 in two different occasions. I have run this case and data in fluent 14 for many many iterations. I also run this case in fluent 15.07 from the beginning ( I mean init) so I am sure that UDF are fine. also I am sure that the problem is with the UDFs. because when I diactiveate them there will be no errors. please help |

its because of double precision. try to run the case with and without double precision.
this took me about 12 days to understand |

hi,i worked a lot with fluent 14.5 and 15 but I could not even compile my UDF (actually it is UDRGM) and then shift it to fluent 6.3 and finally could compile my UDRGM with this words: Loading Real-EQUILIBRIUM_GAS Library: Setting material "air" to a real-gas... Loading Real-EQUILIBRIUM_GAS Library: Loading Real-EQUILIBRIUM_GAS Library: Loading Real-EQUILIBRIUM_GAS Library: Loading Real-EQUILIBRIUM_GAS Library: Loading Real-EQUILIBRIUM_GAS Library: Loading Real-EQUILIBRIUM_GAS Library: Loading Real-EQUILIBRIUM_GAS Library: Loading Real-EQUILIBRIUM_GAS Library: then I wanted iterate it but I got some error (with double decision running) and then shift it to single decision and again got error and this the massage: unable to read the cmd header on the pmi context, generic socket failure, error stack: MPIDU_Sock_wait(2533): The specified network name is no longer available. [QUOTE=majid_kamyab;552819]first of all you cannot use case and data of a a newer version of fluent for an older one
secondly, what was ur problem about compiling in fluent 14.5 and 15?[/QUOTE thanks for ur replying when i work with fluent 14.5 serial it compile my UDRGM but not load it and these are the massages : Error: C:\PROGRA~1\ANSYSI~1\v145\fluent\fluent14.5.7\win6 4\3ddp\fl1457s.exe received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION) 1. i have found the problem and it was about my code, accually i have changed the code, these kind of errors are because fluent can not access to the right information to give data / or / code ask for wrong type of data, so it can not give any data to solve the equation. i hope it will help |
