Hi All,
I am a beginner so please if I made any stupid mistake, bear with me. My objective is to simulate a 2D Wind Turbine rotor in fluent. I have already done sliding mesh analysis of rotor for transient case. This is the mesh file. But for sliding mesh , omega and inlet wind speed both needs to be specified. Therefore , I jumped on to 6 dof dynamic meshing so that I can simulate with inlet velocity only. After reading udf manual this is how I am thinking of going ahead. Torque= I*alpha, w(t)= w(0) + alpha*(t). w(0) is zero in my case. Therefore w(t)= (Torque/I)* (t), ANd Torque = rXF, F= P*A; P= F_P(f,t), F_AREA(A,F,t) = Area vector of Face, x[ND_ND] F_CENTROID(x,f,t) r= (x[1]^2 + x[2]^2)^0.5. Now I need to write all this in coding language and run the simulation which is ofcourse a big task. I am not asking you guys to give me the code , but at least if you could tell me that whether I am thinking in the right direction or not. Do I need to use DEFINE_CG_MOTION ??? but the CG of the rotating domain is neither rotating or translating. https://drive.google.com/folderview?...EU&usp=sharing if you have anything to add , please comment |
