Hi all,
I would like to simulate turbulent reactive mixing using probability
density functions (e.g., betta distribution).
Unfortunately, it is not clear from the Fluent manual how to do so.
It would be great if you have already overcome this problem and you are willing to share a UDF example of direct me how to do so.
Thank you very much!!!

Hi,
I do not have much expertise in this subject but I was of the impressiont that Fluent already provides us the option of Beta and gamma function for the pdf!!! Because i am using such a pdf for my non premixed combustion..I would be really happy to know if my understanding is wrong..

Yep, but from some reason the implementation in Fluent V14 is not straightforward

I am still confused about your reply..but i have another idea to help you..if by any chance you have a customer account number/ID then you can contact the customer support of ansys..they have a separate division dedicated for UDFs..they are obliged to help you out..May be you can try there!!!

cheers,

Yep, but the problem is academic bureaucracy. I can't bypass the academic software supporters
The non-premixed combustion model is close in its concept to what I would like to do. Are you familiar with it?

I am familiar to a certain extent which is the knowledge of existing model within Fluent( because I am not writing my own model )..
