How to compute the are of the interface

I hawe a multiphase flow problem, I need to compute the following (1) interface Area between air and water in figure 1 , and (2) the distance marked as R in figure 2. Someone please help me in computing these

Hi,
You could: 1) make a iso-surface of VOF=0.5 for air. 2) cut the iso-surface with iso-clip with VOF water=1e-3 to 1. 3) use report->surface->area -> of the clipped surface, to get the area. 4) use report->surface ->min/max radial distance to get the radial extend. I think this will give you what you want, without resorting to UDF programming. BR. Torjo |
