Hi,
I am having some real trouble trying to get a simulation running of a 2D Axisymmetric model of a solidification & melt model, together with using a multi phase as well using the volume of fluid. The model consists of 2 bodies in, in which I have used the 'Mark Cells' tool to be able to patch at a certain temperature and volume fraction (which I have set at 1 for the molten metal phase I specified in the setup. the patch is used to specify the temperature at which the steel is liquid. The second body (bottom body) is the substrate (solid steel). The top body is the air body but as stated before, I have used the mark cells tool to identify the geometry that is the molten metal. The first image I have uploaded shows the geometry and the second image shows the temperature contour of the patched area. I continue to get a floating point exception at node 3, error object #f I do no have a lot of experience in Fluent and there is no tutorial on this type of simulation. If anyone on here has any know-how of getting a simulation like this to run I would be very grateful if they could help me out. Thanks |
