Hello,
We are simulating formation of thin film on flat plate. It is a case of Liquid Desiccant dehumidifier. The desiccant solution is flowing from upper-left corner and moist air is flowing in counter-current direction (Please see schematic diagram). Here VOF formulation is used with implicit body force (gravity and surface tension force are active). Along with VOF, k-epsilon model, Energy equation, CSF (with wall adhesion) is used. SIMPLE for pressure-velocity coupling, PRESTO! for pressure interpolation and First Order Upwind scheme for momentum and turbulence equations are used. And mesh is structured. Problem: Liquid stops flowing when air velocity is increased beyond 5 m/s (which is not acceptable according to literature). liquid velocity: 0.028 m/s air velocity: 5 m/s Please help us out with this problem. Thank you. |

I'm doing similar thing Evaporation-condensation But I can't capture the condensation film No condensation Even I can't intialize Eulieran wall film! Anyone help please Sent from my SM-G900I using CFD Online Forum mobile app |

Dear Mr Ahmed,
My problem is different. There is no Evaporation or condensation involved. But, I can suggest you few things. 1) Check if your mesh is fine at the boundary (where Film is supposed to form) 2) Check boundary conditions. Please elaborate the problem. So that we can have some insight. Thank you. |
