I was eager to know why the vf-phase-2 (the phase to which mass was transfered) residual turned to a high level (above 1) when the mass transfer occured from the phase-1 to the phase-2 (you could see it from the attached fig). I have also tried to reduced the under-relaxation factors, but it just works a little. I am looking forward your great reply soon. thank you so much much much.

Can you describe the problem first
Why Do You Use Eulieran Model Where Is The VOF P1 And you do you use 2D Anyway try less time step 1e-8 And URF 0.1-0.5 maximum Sent from my SM-G900I using CFD Online Forum mobile app |

Quite good Suggestion! I have tried reducing the time step to 1e-2 at the first 5s. Because my case is a quasi-unsteady mass transfer process (2D-modeling) within several hours, so it is not expected to utilize an extrem time step during the whole process. I really aprreciate your reply.

Also try PISO solution method and hybrid intialization
