Hi all,
i am a college student and working on hydrate dissociation in porous media.(when the pressure decreases, hydrate will dissociate and forms water and gas) ch4.6h2o----> ch4 + 6h2o at first we have the phases ( hydrate(s), water(l) and gas(g)) and all phases saturation are known. i have some questions: 1) i have defined water and gas but i dont know how to define hydrate as third phase that wil be stagnant and have no motion.??!!! 2) there is a kinetic equation for hydrate dissociation(rate of generation/consumption of mass for each phase). how can i define it in UDF to fluent? |

Hello,
I am not very familiar with porous media, but for the first part of your questions I guess you do it like this: Cell Zone Conditions-> Select the "Zone" of interest, Select the "Phase" of interest--> Edit... -> Check the "Fixed Values" box and then set X, Y and Z velocities to zero.
