Hi, I'm trying to simulate PHP in FLUENT.

With copper tube(3mm), water charged 50% volume fraction.

There's constant heat flux(5W/m^2) at bottom side and constant temperature(298.15K) at the opposite side. (adiabatic for middle)

I used mixture model, and other settings below

Phase - Phase interaction - Mass - evaporation-condensation
Phase - Phase interaction - Surface Tension - 0.045 n/m
Solution Initialization - Patch - fluid - 0.5 volume fraction for vapor.

my question is

1. Do i need to use UDF for mass transfer? because i used phase change for
evaporation-condensation mechanism

2. The result is no successful. there's no vapor plug and liquid slug with pulsating motion. I want to know what is missing in my system

hi.. my project topic is also simulation of "pulsating heat pipe" in fluent, i'm not so good in fluent, i'm learning to solve two phase problem including vof model and reynolds stress model. please provide suggestions regarding my project topic.
