Hi
I am doing ddpm simulation (water and one inch polypropylene pebbles). My column is filled with pebbles but still fluent is showing volume fraction nearly 2.5 %. Anyone can help why we are getting too low volume fraction.

I don't think you can define the presence of 1" pebbles as discrete particles.
Discrete particles are generally in the order of microns to mm.
You might have to model the column as a porous media with water flowing through,
