You can either customize the code (BC.F file for boundary conditions) or do the following trick. Run a model to get the desired velocity distribution at a location, then do a restart calculation, setting the inlet boundary at that location and using the Grid Overlay (GO) type boundary there. It will then use the velocity distribution from the first run as the boundary condition for the second, interpolating the solution onto the new grid. It is a steady-state bc though.

Hi MuxaB,
can you share on the step by step or any references document to customize this BC>F file for boundary conditions?

Chapter 9 of the Manual has all the details, including, I think, an example of a customization of the BC routine.

Hello MuxaB and colledgues,

Could you please send me a PDF copy of User Manual Flow 3d V9.3 to me, it is very important to me, and I am dying with the simulation cos i do not have this one. I just use the online help to learn step by step.
I am very grateful to your kindness. Please it is very urgent to me, because I am doing my master thesis to this.

My email address is: vuhoangthaiduong@iwer.vn

All my regards.

Isn't there an on-line version available with the installation?

Duong,

Is online Help no good? In any case, you can order a printed version of the whole manual for around $20 from the user site, for which you should have access as a licensed user.
