Dear flow-3d users

I simulate spreading of a droplet. As you can see in the GIF below, the droplet mostly spreads in four direction but I expect it spreads circularly. What should I do to have circular spreading? Should I change the solver or What?

Thanks

Have you tried using a mesh with cylindrical coordinates?

Dear Eric

I know it's better to use cylindrical mesh block for such problem but I have to simulate some other droplets in various coordinates. So I used cartesian mesh block.
One noticeable fact is when I increase the surface tension and Viscosity of my fluid, it spreads more circular.

Dear Eric

I know it's better to use cylindrical mesh block for such problem but I have to simulate some other droplets along with current droplet in various coordinates and see how they interact with each other. So I used cartesian mesh block.
One noticeable fact is when I increase the surface tension and Viscosity of my fluid, it spreads more circular.

I am also working on these issues. Mojtaba_M, could you share your drop generation model? Perhaps the problem is in the type of solver, some methods have certain limitations to solve certain geometries.

To generate droplet you can use initial value and coding using droplet source (search the help).
What should it be changed in solver settings? I thought it is because of structured cubic mesh.
