Domain size for find ship resistance

Hello everybody,i am a student from marine university in Malaysia,
I want to ask about size of domain in Flow 3d to find ship resistance.If anyone know the specific size or the accurate size for the domain when we want to find ship resistance.I have read the paper about the size of domain but i cant understand..I want to ask for your concern to help me about the accurate size of the domain or there is no specific size required.. As salam Afiq,
The domain of your simulation is depend on the case you want to simulate. If you already have experiment data, the domain should be the dimension of your flume/towing/etc tank. If you want to validate your simulation using others simulation (using journal/article/etc papers) then there are no other ways than understanding the paper thoroughly. |
