Can anybody help me, how can i do a 2d simulation in flow 3d ? I did carry out 3d simulations and for 2d i though i could just put the Y axis values as 0,0 ...but when i run it like that , it shows error....how can i run 2d simulations ..is there any other setting which i need to do ?

Well i often think about this issue. But i think Flow 3D name is adapted as its specifically for 3D modeling. Think why HEC RAS 2D is not called HEC RAS 3D ?

However, in Flow 3D you can always see your modeling results in 2D in ANALYZE tab. One thought is that you model 'Unit Width'(in Y direction) of your structure. That might help you in doing the simulations you want to run.
