Hi Flow3d users,
I need to solve an optimization problem. The optimizer is in MATLAB. However, MATLAB has to call Flow3D to run simulations. Does anyone know how I can do it? There is no .exe file in the simulation folders, which file I should call? Is it possible to change prepin file with MATLAB? Please let me know if you have any suggestion or experience. Thanks, Farzam |

Farzam, I have been able to trigger FLOW-3D from external optimization software/scripts in the past. It will require the understanding of FLOW-3D runtime commands. Also, there is a batch file inside the FLOW-3D installation that can be used to launch FLOW-3D.
In short, this is possible but will require some work and additional understanding of FLOW-3D commands. If you are covered by support, we can assist you directly on this. |
