Hi all,
am Susan from Kuala Lumpur, I am currently trying to validate some experimental results on Flow 3D and I try to scale down the actual size of my model to 1:10 because at full scale i had a total of about 50million mesh cells (for correct geometry with FAVOR) after scaling down geometrically I still try to mesh the geometry and i have nearly close to the same amount of mesh cells. Please if someone has any idea how to scale down to have the smallest mesh cells and reduce simulation time or how i can make my model to be smaller kindly assist. I attached a picture of the model. Many thanks. Susan. |

You should define your mesh by the cell size, not by cell count. Reducing cell count may improve the computational time in your case, but, at the expense of accuracy. You are merely scaling the model, not really reducing the model complexity.
