Dear melissa,
I have done tutorial , but not completely understand things , like what is metal input , can I use this in high pressure die casting simulation. when I trying to run simulation with out use metal input, simulation progress show always 0% , but, when I use metal input ,simulation progress start increasing . so plz solve my this basics problem. |

Dear ankur
Be careful for the signs of the velocity of the plunger.. To tell the software about the real direction you need |

Metal input is another way to define metal into the domain other than at mesh
To create the piston you must define a moving geometry To define the fluid within the shot sleeve you will need to define a fluid region (Cast 3.5) as geometry Metal type |

Depends on number of cells, physics activated, and the flow velocities.
You can start to run the simulation and look at time step and divide that into estimated fill time to get an idea but the time step will get smaller as the velocity gets higher. |
