Dear all,
Hi,I am simulating the flow motion around a vertical cylinder under uniform current. The velocity of flow is 0.15m/s.The flow depth is 0.5m.The cylinder parameters are:diameter=0.25m,height=0.85m.The RNG turbulence model is used.In my simulation vortices can be seen. However, the resistance force calculated by Flow3D (=1.46) is much higher than the experimental result(=1.07).I don't know why this happens. Please help me! Thanks! |

Dear all,
I have consulted many literatures these days.Maybe the problem of my simulation is that the boundary layer resolution around component is inaccurate. But I don't know how to improve it and how to set friction and surface roughness. Could anyone help me?Thanks! |
