About NLH in Numeca

Hi
I saw from NUMECA website that it is possible to use NLH to simulate the interaction between the rotor and the volute (see link below). https://www.numeca.com/product/id/139 Does anyone know whether the simulation includes the full volute as well for the NLH method? In the website, it mentions that only one blade passage is being solved. I just wonder if that is the case, how can one get the flow field in the volute? It will be very helpful if someone could kindly enlighten me a bit about the setup. Thank you in advance. |

Hi;
NLH of a impeller / volute has been presented in a paper by Numeca entitled as "The nonlinear harmonic method: from single stage to multi-row effects" published in International Journal of Computational Fluid Dynamics in 2013. You may find useful hints there. regards |
