Hello all;
I have an exported transient file of a cooling down body. When post-processing, I need an area-weighted value of a part of the body shell. I didn't split it in Fluent with a feature angle, so I cannot calculate only the part I want so easily. If it was a stationary case I would do it in Fluent and export it again, but being transient it would take way too long... I hope somebody can give me a hand to split the part by a defined feature angle. Thanks in advance! |

There really isn't any direct capability in EnSight to split a 2D part by feature angle. If the part can be segregated by plane, box, or quadric tool, then you may be able to segregate the domain. In this situation, you can use the Clip operation with those tools with an inside/outside instead of intersection.
Sorry, there really isn't sub-surface creation by connectivity/feature angle in EnSight.
