Hi All,
I have been trying to create a mesh with a boundary layer around a wigley hull, but am having some problems. I can get the prismatic boundary layer to grow, but when I try to divide it I get an Error window that says "unable to identify boundary layer file:..\..\..\libengrid\guidivideboundarylayer.cpp line: 135 The incriminated files are here. Thanks, Claudio |

Hello,
I only got around to look at your case today. You need to define a volume and you also need to create the tetrahedral mesh before you divide the boundary layer. Cheers, Oliver |

at the second try I got it to work. Thanks for the help. Will keep playing wioth parameters to improve the quality. One question: do you know if it is possible to use the grid created in enGrid in OpenFOAM and have OF "move" part of it (I'm thinking in my case to have the hull free to heave and pitch)? Claudio |
