What are the steps for setting up a 2D simulation in Converge? I've seen this option mentioned in some documentation but never seen it in practice.
Is there a predefined process for this? Thanks. |

There are a few things to consider when setting up a 2D simulation in CONVERGE:

I want to simulation a two_d case at cylindrical coordinate system. I used a 3D surface which is a sector (angle is 5 deg.) actually. The rotational axis is y axis. I have clicked on the 'Has rotational axis' box when setting up BOUNDARY. However, when CONVERGE run this case it had an error that 'the normal directions of TWO_D boundaries must be aligned in z direction'. Can CONVERGE run this kind of TWO_D case? I am forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Nana |
