Hi,

I am using COMSOL to simulate the PEMFC model. I have a very basic question about how to calculate the active specific surface area (Av) for COMSOL simulation.

In tutorials, I see the values, but I don't understand how they are calculated.

What I know is: They can be calculated using the following information:

electrochemical surface area =60m^2/g,
catalyst loading = 0.25mg/cm^2,
CCL thickness =8 micrometer

For the above information, I know the value of Av comes out to be 5x1o^6.

My question is, what rule/formula is used?
