Hi All,
I am new to this forum and did not find a COMSOL forum in the software specific listings, so I hope putting this in Main is acceptable. I am trying to do a very simple model of evaporation using the level set method, and as you can see from the attachment the solution never converges and gets stuck in a very small time step. I ran it over night and had to cancel the computation. I have tried many different settings for the Level Set parameters: - Reinitialization Parameter, gamma - Parameter controlling interface thickness, epsilon I am following the rule of thumb given at the COMSOL knowledge bank, located here (Two-Phase Flow Modeling Guidelines - Knowledge Base (comsol.com)), but really I have no idea what these parameters mean physically and if that is the problem or some other aspect of my model. Has anyone had experience with level set method? |
