It worked in the past but one day the cfx gave me the messege:
In Analysis 'Flow Analysis 1': No domains have been defined.
and stops reading my mesh file.

Some one knows whats happening?

I make a sphere and a box in the workbench, and make the mesh by sizing to the box and refining to the sphere then generate the mesh and save.

when I open the setup, the error message appears.

Looks pretty obvious to me - no domains are defined. Go back to CFX-Pre and define a domain.

The msg appears after I import the mesh, without the mesh how can I define a domain?

Import the mesh then right-click on Flow Analysis 1 and choose insert domain, give the new domain a name (preferably NOT domain 1, I usually choose the type of fluid I'm simulating, such as water) and then define BODY, or whatever name your volume has as your desired domain.

Sometimes these things may need re-defining, even though the same stuff has worked before.

If your mesh won't be imported, even though the same mesh file used to work before then I'm sorry I cannot help, but looking into the mesh file, instead of the .cfx file may have your answer. Sometimes re-doing the geometry and mesh is the tedious but fastest way round the problem.

Addendum to what bratzinger said...not only do not use ä,ö,ü in the projectname...BUT do NOT use ANY special Signs in the WHOLE Path!

I had similar problems when I wanted to open a file located in smth. like:

C:/CFX/Projects/Gebäude/Setup/Files/Pre/

and it gave me a similar error just because I had a Folder "Gebäude" containing the folders where my files are stored. I think this is valid also for all other language specific symbols or symbols like %, & and so on....Therefore I now name my files and folders only with standard alphabet and "_" as a separator/space. Because when I use " " (blanks) as space I get problems on unix/linux machines.

It means what is says, you have not defined any domains, and that is probably because you have no 3d mesh regions in your mesh. Make sure your mesh is CFX compliant, with one or more 3d regions, with each 3d region bounded by surface meshes on the outer faces.

Try to open a new CFX Pre outside of/ without the workbench and import your mesh which was created from your workbench. I don't know what exactly happening but sometimes it works
