Error in CFX Solver

Hi,

starting the CFX-Solver with my project, the following Error-message appears after partitioning:

I´m using Ansys 12.1.

Does it run in serial? What about the other parallel modes?

Was CFX completely installed on the individual nodes? It looks like the job can't find the units file.

I'd get error 255 when a simulation wouldn't run on local parallel but would run in serial mode on some 2D simulations I ran recently.

Well, you have some basic debugging to do before we can be of any assistance.

Run a simple simulation - maybe a tutorial example or the benchmark, it does not matter. Run it serial, and local parallel in various modes. Does that work? This will tell you if you have a problem with your installation. Then run your model. This will tell you if the problem is your simulation.

BTW: The benchmark simulation can be found in <CFX ROOT>/examples/Benchmark.def. A nice simple quick demo run which is useful for debugging.

Run a simple simulation - maybe a tutorial example or the benchmark, it does not matter. Run it serial, and local parallel in various modes. Does that work? This will tell you if you have a problem with your installation. Then run your model. This will tell you if the problem is your simulation. big-bang likes this.
