hello
I have been working on doing a transint FSI analysis using CFX v12.1 of a rectangular tank . I am trying to simulate the sloshing of the liquid and the interaction between the tank and liquid. the tank is moving in x direction with sinsoidal displacement. I have successfully run the problem ( liquid onlyy) using a cfx (moving walls as boundary conditions) but i am trying to study the interaction between the liquid and the tank the ansys give me this error ERROR #002100061 has occurred in subroutine SERVE_CLIENTS. | | Message: | | The connection between this CFX process and an external process | | has died unexpectedly. The following error was received: | | External process : ANSYS | | Error experienced : Read | | | | ** This error is fatal: Terminating ANSYS CFX Solver execution ** | | Please review the output, error and log files from both the CFX | | and external processes to determine the cause of the error. I have just started to work with fsi ,i follow the instruction as in Tutorial 21 everthing it is very good Please criticise as much as possible as I am very new to FSI and need all the help I can get. If you could maybe direct me to some tutorials so I can help myself that would also be appreciated. Thank you in advance and I hope to hear from you soon. |

Your error message says that the Ansys part of the simulation crashed, so you'll need to look at the ANSYS.stdout file to find out what when wrong.

Seems like there is something wrong with your contact elements. Did you use workbench to generate the .inp file? Do you need contact elements in your (solid) tank?
As you have not described how your solid domain look like, and my knowledge about Ansys mechanical is somewhat limited, I cant give you any further advice. |

sorry, a query. how do I model the two fluids in the tank, when Medelo two fluids, two bodies, both are water or both are air, I can not create two different fluids.
I appreciate your help |

Yes, in the CFX tutorials documentation which is part of the default installation.
Are you asking how do you set up the liquid and gas fluids? Have a look at the CFX tutorials, especially the flow over a bump one. |

I have no documents as the CFX tutorials explain the basics pretty well. For more detailed documentation chase up the references in the documentation and ask CFX support.
