Hello to all,
I have studied, with CFX, the problem of flow past a circular cylinder in a uniform stream and I have plotted in XY graphics the pressure coefficient vs position(m). The questions are: 1) How can I plot, in CFX, the pressure coefficient vs angle? 2) What is the correct form of the expression the pressure coefficient? this is correct? Coefficient Pressure = (Pressure - RefPressure)/dynHead dynHead = 0.5 * areaAve(Density)@Surface Cylinder * areaAve(Velocity)@Surface Cylinder^2 3) The pressure is the one that calculates in the surface of the cylinder? Thanks a lot |

I think it should be correct also:
2*(Pressure -areaAve(Pressure)@R1 Inlet)/(areaAve(Density)@R1 Inlet *areaAve(Velocity)@R1 Inlet ^2) for the plot I canīt help you because it is so difficult find information above charts. the problem is that he should have as x or y variable an "some way-averaged quantity" and this is useless for your need. Iīm sorry. If you find this answer please reply on this tread! good work David |
