Hi there!
Hope you are doing well.

I'm trying to analyse a combustion chamber of a micro gas turbine engine using kerosene fuel.
Most of the YouTube combustion analysis tutorials are using species transport model, even official ANSYS tutorial videos are using species transport model.

But my question is why they do not use partially premixed combustion model
itself instead of species?

Q1: if we can use both, then which one is better for analysis of combustion chamber of micro gas turbine engine?

Q2: what are pros and cons of both model?

Q3: how to choose correct model?

if anything, else that I must know and I am missing to ask, kindly please share your views!!!
your every word means to me a lot.

Thanking you,

sending positive vibes,

They are very good questions, and you should answer them with a literature review. Looks like it is time to go to the university library.

Thank you so much Sir Glenn for reviewing my post. 😁🤜🤛

In the starvation of knowledge, I found a second edition book "an introduction to combustion" by Stephen R. Turns.

Or would you like to prefer me another book which you are familiar with. so that it can be easy to navigate to any specific topic or any page no while our further deep discussion about my quires.

sending positive vibes Sir Glenn. ✨

I have never worked in turbomachinery combustion so have no recommendations to make. But if I was starting a project on turbomachinery combustion the first thing I would do is read some textbooks and some literature.

it's okay sir. If you don't mind, could you prefer someone who is in this field?

if I walk by myself, then how do I know that I am walking on a right track?
or
the mistakes I should avoid that you've experienced with.

The start of any research project is always a literature review. You need to know what has been done by others, what approaches work and what don't, what approaches have a good physical background and what are just made-up models.

When you understand the literature you will then know what the right track for your project is.
