Hi,
Is it possible to get CFX-Post to show a temperature legend in Celcius rather than Kelvin? I find it hard to believe this is not possible but can't for the life of me find an option to do it. Thanks. John. |

There may be a better way, but as no-one else has replied yet here's one idea:
For basic temperature plots I managed to get deg C by going to 'Options', then selecting the 'Units' menu, then selecting 'Custom' then changing the units of temperature only to [C]. This worked OK for plotting the basic temperature field. Two slight problems with this though: 1) This will alter the default behaviour of other parts of CFX, so you may want to swap it back after printing the plot. 2) It worked for plotting the temperature field. But when I plotted a variable which had units of [K] which I had computed using a complicated CEL expression I still got units of [K], not [C]. Good luck, andy (I'd like to see a 'convert_units' function added to the CEL language ....) |

Go to Variables > Solution > Temperature and select the desired units. Then everywhere you use that value in post it is converted to those units. However if you perform a calculation using CEL or a table, the result will be in absolute units [K] or [R].
