Hello friends. I hope someone can give me a guide on the solution to this problem.
I am implementing a drying model in a porous medium (including moisture as an additional variable) in CFX. For fluids and heat, no problem. When I include the additional variable (moisture) the solver doesn't run. This is the error that appears: ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | Invalid term variable QPUMASS_AV1_SL1_SL1 has been set for term S- | | RC:CEQN:IPT:FS in equation QPUMASS_AV1_SL1 This is happening with academic version 2023R2. It didn't happen with version 2023R1. I hope someone can give me a hand with this. Thank you! |

CFX has some pretty incomprehensible error messages and I think that is the worst CFX message I have ever seen. You can ask ANSYS support for help of course, but if you are on an academic license that can be difficult. If you have to debug it yourself then you just need to do some experiments and try to figure it out. Does the AV work on a simple simulation without other things (eg no porous media)?
Your comment that this works in 2023R1 but not in 2023R2 suggests this might be a bug in CFX. If this is the case then there is nothing we can do to help you, you will have to report it to ANSYS support and hopefully they can get it fixed.

Hi Glenn. Thanks for your reply. Yes, the AV work on a simple simulation without porous media.

OK, so then do some analysis on an AV with porous media? If you do a simplified geometry with a model which only has a basic flow with an AV and porous media do you get the problem? And if you get rid of either the AV or the porous media then it works OK? And if you run it on 2023R1 it works with both the AV and porous media?
If that shows that you need the AV and porous media running and to be in 2023R2 then you have a pretty good case to show it is a bug. Your only option then is to contact ANSYS support and report it as a bug, and give them your simplified simulation as a demonstration of the bug.
