I am working on length wise symmetrical blade turbine (Savonius Turbine). I have conducting 3D transient simulation in CFX and find torque and power but it required to much computational cost.
My Question: Can i simulate turbine in 2D transient Simulation in CFX and can i find torque and power? |

Yes, you can; but whether it is accurate enough for your purposes is the question you should be asking. If you already have a 3D model you should be able to see how much 3D effects occur, and then you need to compare that against how accurate you need your model to be.

Yes you can, but there will be difference in answers. since the blade angle vary 3D geometry. |
