Hej Greetings! I am trying to model a sphere in DesignModel of Ansys, but now I don't know how to generate a solid sphere, I only get the surface of the sphere through revovling the circle. Would anyone know how to do it? Thank you very much!

1. Create>Primitives>Sphere 2. Revolve a 180 degree arc, not a circle.

But it is solid if I use Create>Primitives>Sphere, then would you tell me why I should use Revovle again? And if I want to model a solid with the following frame( in the website link), would you tell me how to do it? I don't know how to chamber it. Thank you very much!

Hello Li, if you are using Primitive solid you need not revolve the half circle again. Mr CycLone has suggested two possible options.
For you to create the image shown, one option is to create the sketch of the half cross section and then revolve it 360 degree. The sketch can include the arc representing the fillet. Or else create two cylinders, apply boolean operation to unite it and then apply fillet. For a geometry you can find many ways of doing it. Regards Anantha |

Hej Anantha, thank you very much for your post. Yeah, I tried to create the sketch and then revolve it, but it just a surface, not a solid. I will try the second suggestion. Thanks a lot!

Hej, I got it. When the sketch is closed, then it would be a solid after revolving. Thank you very much, CycLone and Anantha.
