Dear all,

In my multiphase-multicomponent problem solver fails after 60-70 iterations and gives following messages.

ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. Message : Floating point exception : overflow.

ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. Message: Stopped in routine F_FPX_HANDLER

Before termination values of both additive variables fluctuates over large range. I tried with changing values in initialisation and time step values, but failed.

can anybody help me .

Thanks

sameer

Read the multiphase flow best practice guide in the appendix.

Hi Sameer,

I have the same error message:
ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. Message : Floating point exception : overflow.

ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. Message: Stopped in routine F_FPX_HANDLER.

I am working on Single_phase flow, how did you solve your problem?
what does that error massage mean?

Floating point exception means your simulation diverged. You need to improve the numerical stability - smaller time steps, better mesh quality or more stable boundary conditions.
happy likes this.
