Dear Everybody,
Nowadays I am working on a problem where the results of a given simulation in Workbench are initial conditions of the next one, but sometimes, after a few phases the solver gives an error, namely “Incomplete line found”, and after that a “Size mismatch” error at the beginning of the simulation. The problem is the simulation does not start from the beginning of the simulation, but from the middle of the process. The error does not occur regulary, sometimes I start the same simulation again and it works properly. My workbench is fine, there is no fault or "incomplete line" anywhere. I tried to define the .res file in the initial values and link the folders on the workbench, but the error occurs with both cases. I browsed here after a similar experiences and I found it, but there are no solutions and the entries are old. I'm using ansys 18.0, does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution? Maybe this unreasonable message has been fixed in a newer version? I don't think this is a setup error. Thanks for the advices, Nagy Henrietta |

Please share the output file with the error, so we can understand the context.

In the output file, there is no any error message, just a pop up message, I attached the images.
But I made an important discovery: the error message only affects the monitor! So the simulation is running properly, just the solver cannot display the monitor points. The problem can be avoided: - the post file contains every data - if I close the solver monitor, without stopping the simulation, then I reopen it, the data are there I dont understand the source of the problem, but I think that it is connected with the continued calculations, stopped calculations, or initial value calculations. If you have more experiences or ideas, I am curious, this problem took quite a lot of my time, it would be good to understand the reasons. Thank You, Nagy Henrietta |

Indeed, it appears in the solver manager. I have seen it before. There appears to an error in the monitoring data.
If I remember correctly, it helps to start with a clean definition file. You can use a previous solution as initial guess, but then untick the option "Continue History from" |
