Hello
SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH The CFX solver does not stop. TRIED: one) Stop responding to the button, gives a stop confirmation window, I answer positively and the decision continues. 2) I hoped to create a BAK and close the task through the task manager. I click to create BAK the button is pressed (does not hang), but the BAK is not created. TOTAL: The task was solved for 3 days, the results are very important for me. I ask for advice. SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH |

If you want to stop a calculation, you can create a file named stp in the temporary .dir directory of the running calculation.
So simply create a text file (the file can remain empty) and give it the name stp. Put it in the .dir directory and the calculation will stop. |

Are you using workbench? Try the stop button on the project page instead.
After that, do not use workbench, run the solver in standalone mode instead, it is way less buggy. |

jp that happens sometimes, must be a bug I think.
I usually copy all the result files to other location than kill all the processes |

Not enough details to suggest anything,
For example, the ANSYS CFX Solver does not stop until a given timestep is completed regardless of how many times you press the stop button. There are other instances, like pre-computing some equations, say mesh deformation at the start of a timestep. If your residual target cannot be achieved, say stalls at a higher value, and your number of iterations is large it will continue until then. Every detail in your setup counts to undertands the appropriate next step Hope the above helps |
