Default Light Angle in Post

Hi,

In Post it's possible to move the light angle (Ctrl + Right Mouse Button or Shift + Arrows). But when you close and re-open Post, is there any way to select the old light angle? Or is there any way to define it numerically?

Thank you

Regards,

Rui

Hi,

Some ideas (untested, but worth a try): 1) Can you save the lighting angle as a state file? Or: 2) Record setting the lighting angle in a session file, and replay the session file.

I think number 2 should work OK, but I have not tried it.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestions Glenn, but I had already tried both and they don't work. A state file doesn't save the lighting angle, and a session file doesn't record the change of lighting angle (it doesn't record zoom neither rotation of views, also).

However, as the Documentation (Reference Guide, CFX-Post CCL Details) says, the file CFXroot/etc/CFXPostRules.ccl contains the parameter: PARAMETER: Light Angle
Parameter Type = Real List
Local Type = render
Default = 50, 110
Description = Defines the viewer light angles in degrees. The first \
angle goes from left (0) to right (180), and the second goes from \
up (0) to down (180).
END When Post is started, the lighting angle is set to the default value. So it would be possible to change the default value and start Post, doing this several times until an appropriated lighting angle is found, but this isn't very practical and it's much easier to find an appropriated angle with the mouse directly in Post. But I was wondering if it's possible to set the Light Angle from the Command Editor in Post, at least you wouldn't have to close and restart Post several times.

Regards,

Rui
