Hello everyone,

i'm working on the analysis of a fan and i have succesfully set up and solved and Fluid Flow component system (CFX).

After changing the mesh (generating of the new mesh was successful), the update for the CFX setup failed with the following message:

I'm working with Ansys 17.1 on windows 7 and win 10, different OS same problem. Does anyone have an idea to solve this problem?
I Don't want to set up a complete new component system.

Thank you in advance!

I also had a similar problem a couple of days ago, though not the same message. To solve it fixed a little problem in the geometry and redefined a couple of sizings and it updated well.

Also, an alternative solution that also worked is to export the mesh to a FLUENT format file (.msh i think) and then create a new proyect and import that mesh directly and then cfxpre should work fine.

Hello,

thank you for possible solutions. I tested both of them with the same result.
I still don't know, why the initial mesh is working and after changing/adding/deleting some mesh properties it stucks...

And i also can't find any comparable problems in the forum.

Hello,

I have found a solution. After opening the "corrupted" Setup, i have exported the CCL via File --> Export --> CCL. Next step is closing the CFX-Pre. In workbench "Clear generated data" on the setup of the Fluid flow. Openening the setup again with an initial state. In my case i have to generate some additional mesh regions in the CFX-Pre. Renaming these mesh locations according to the corrupt mesh before. Loading the CCL state and finally solve some problems occuring by bad links (in my case some wrong connections in the interfaces).

Thank you for your help!

hello

i found best way for who can not access to the cfd post and result after their soloution that completed. in fluent you should export case, data and for who works in combustion field export pdf file too. then close the workbench. open another worbench, open fluent, import case and data , intiliaze them, after that in run section imput 1 iteration, after that close the fluent and open cfd post. done
