Dear All

I need to import several results (*.res) on the same geometry and mesh, in one session of CFD-post and do calculation using parameters from both cases. How could it be referred to parameters of both cases in CEL/CCL scripts in one equation?

Thanks for your comments.

I have deleted the duplicate post of this thread.

What parameters are you trying to use? What are you trying to do with them?

Automation of CFD-Post is normally done through session files.

I need to write an equation based on parameters of both cases from different solution (geometry and mesh would be the same).

For example, I want to subtract the Velocity Fields of each cases, in order to have a new Velocity field for further manipulations and calculations. Actually I need it to calculate secondary flows in turbomachinery flow passage (by subtracting inviscid field from viscous field).

Thanks for your comments

CFD-Post can do this. Load multiple results files and select the comparison option (I think it is the comparison option, I am away from my workstation so cannot check). This will give the difference of two results.

You can also load multiple results files and refer to them separately in expressions, so you can do more complex operations than just the difference.

Many thanks Ghorrocks for your helpful note. CFD-post-compare just provide an interface for showing difference but as you correctly mentioned, I need to do more complex calculation on both.
But, I don't know how to refer to the different variables in the CEL code. For example, for the following line:

! $Density0 = massFlowAve("Density","INFLOW");

how could I specify the "Density" and "INFLOW" belongs to which case?

Thanks for your comments
