Hi All,
I have loaded two cases into CFD-Post. Case1 adiabatic and Case2 diabatic. I want to create new variable for HTC = q/(Tadiabatic - Twall). How to write expression for where q is taken from Case2 diabatic and Tadiabatic from Case 1 adiabatic?

You need to make a reference to the case in the expression.
Example:
areaAve(Velocity u)@CASE:1.Inlet

Thanks Lance,
But this is not what I'm looking for. The example you gave will show average value. What I want, is to get expression for variable to get local value of HTC. I tried expression like:
(Wall Heat Flux)@Case2/((Temperature)@Case1 - Twall). But it doesn't work. I can import adiabatic results to diabatic as an external data but I want to evaluate HTC in one expression.

Sorry, didnt read carefully. Im not sure you can do it - @Case only works for functions such as area(), ave(), and so on.
But why do you need do to it, if you can solve it by importing external data?

Actually I was afraid it is impossible.

I'm trying to make kind of automatic (more or less) tool for HTC evaluating.

I will be looking for different solution
Thanks anyway

Hi,
Were you able to do it? If so, can you explain in short? I believe it is possible in tecplot, but couldnt do it in CFD post.
Thanks.

You have to make a Frozen Copy of Temperature from the first case and then import the second one.
