Hello,

I am currently doing my disso on fuel injectors and I have done some pseudo transient simulations to aqquire some data.

On CFD post I load this data, and I was asked to replicate some planes inside my diesel injector as shown below attached.

I have been trying and trying but with no luck I can't seem to replicate it using CFX or tecplot. However, I did manage to create the contour but
not like the picture.

I would appreciate help from those more experienced with CFD post

thanks!
K

This is pretty straight forward in CFD-Post.

Define your 7 planes at the different locations. Then colour the planes with whatever the variable is. Then define custom ranges for the variable to match the colour scale on your image.

Note that there does not appear to be any contour plots on your image. Just a colour scale of the variable will be enough.

Thanks for your reply!
The plane that cuts down is in the ZY axis which is vertically down, as you can see the nozzle is rotated 30 degrees, I have tried rotating the plane by 30 degrees using the "apply rotation" under "view" tab.
Is there any alternative way to do this, because I feel like it is inaccurate.
I will attach a picture below to show you what i mean:

Thank you, I really appreciate the help!
I rotated it by 30 degrees and realised it moves completely away from the nozzle. do I have to use the translation tool to move it back, this approach im using seems very unnecessary haha

Above image is after rotating 30 degrees

When you define the plane, use the "Point and Normal" method.

Thank you so much ghorrocks
I managed to get it working with the "point and normal"!
