Good Afternoon,

Currently I am studying about thermal analysis on Brake Rotor. It seems like this tutorial WS8 Transient Brake Rotor from ANSYS CFX are the closer to my situated problem. However I had difficulty in defining other brake rotor geometry because when I follow the tutorial, CFX cannot solve with the exit code 01 annd sometime code 02.

From my understanding, this could be the problems during Design modeller or it could be during meshing. Can I ask anybody to help me to solve the situated problem

Regards

The CFX tutorials have been extensively tested so should work as long as you set them up correctly.

If you cannot find which bit you made the error, have a look to see if there is a completed version or a script/session file to play. See if that version runs. If it does try to figure out what it did which you missed.

Thank you for advice ghorrocks, I followed every setup as the tutorial, but the tutorial are using .gtm format, then followed with all the CFX pre and Post setup.

I wanted to know the model setup used during meshing, where can I find it?

The CFX tutorials do not include tutorials on how the meshes were generated. You will have to look at the tutorials for the mesh generation software you are using for tutorials on that.

Thank You for comment, this is the generated result and problem shown during solver phase. Can you help me to identified the error shown?

This is a FAQ: http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansys...do_about_it.3F

But in your case it appears to be because something in the tutorial was not set up correctly. I realise finding the thing you missed can be challenging.
