Hi guys,

Than you for read my question.

I am doing some simulation of impingement about the steam and porous media. But I met some problems.

I want to do some calculations about the impingement to the porous media.I made a 3D model by DM and meshed it. There is a tube for the impingement but when I finished the calculation I fond only the tube had pressure and other parts of my model DO NOT HAVE ANY PRESSURE OR FLUID.

As shown in the first pic, the red part is the tube and the blue part without any pressure is the impinging target. The second pic show my setup of CFX.

Could you please help me and tell me why this happened ?

Thank you~

ghorrocks is just really niceghorrocks is just really niceghorrocks is just really niceghorrocks is just really nice
Did you connect the end of the tube to the other domain? Note that a face cannot be part of two interfaces, so you are going to have to chop the tube end out of the face so each component has a matching face on both sides.

What are you trying to learn from this simulation?

Thank you for your help.

Your suggestion mean that I will create an interface between the two parts that I want to exchange the phase?

I just want to get some information about the steam jet to the fabric.

Boundaries are walls unless you set them to something else. So if you want a domain to link to another you need to connect them with interfaces.

So yes, you need to put interfaces in to join the domains.
